I am considering putting my stock 91 prelude rims on my 96 civic hatch to replace those 13" steelies. That way, I can get nicer wheels for my lude instead of my civic. I know they are both 4 bolt, but not exact fit. Can I make it work? Bad idea or suggestions?

its like 50/50.. some of those sites say 4 X 100 and some say 4 X 114.3.

I'm thinking that since in Japan the 4th gen was oficially released in 1991, maybe that is why all those sites are giving misinformation and confusing it with the last year of the 3rd gens in the USA?

Did you read my posts? I just said that I had a 91 Si and It was 4 x 100. Why did you post that if you aren't sure? It just confuses people when there is conflicting info.

You're stubborn arent you?

What is there for you to look into? It's already been settled. Are you gonna believe something you think remember reading on the internet, or someone who actually has first hand knowledge about it? You have to either think I'm lying about it, or you don't think I know enough to know what I had on my own car to believe me. It doesn't matter what you have seen or read, it was misinformation. That's common on the internet. And by saying what you're saying, you're actually adding to that misinformation.

That's basically the same as the link that S-LudeDan posted. It's wrong.

I can't really speak for anything except USDM or CDM models with any certainty. One thing I do know about them is that Japan got models one model year earlier than anyone else. So 3rd gens came out in 1987 thru 1990 in Japan instead of 1988 thru 1991, and the first year of the 4th gen was 1991. But if that website was talking about Japan models then the 5th gen would have started with the 1996 model year, and it should show that the bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 for a 96 lude. But it shows a 96 as having 4 x 114.3, like all other 4th gens.

I can't say with first hand knowledge about those models since they weren't available in the US. But in the 6 years I've been a member on the preludepower forum, I've never seen anything that makes me think they are anything but 4 x 100...just like all other 3rd gen models. This forum doesn't have much 3rd gen traffic, as you know. But the other forum has a huge 3rd gen community, and never have I read anything about any 3rd gen models having a different bolt pattern.
