Intake air pressure

I was out today and I noticed something interesting on my VAFC and I was curious if anyone elses car acted the same way. I have an e-bay cai and when I jump on it the intake air pressure drops to around -25 to -30 but as it gets closer to redline the intake air pressure decreases even more hitting a low of around -65 to -70. I would think it would stay around -20ish, could a dirty filter be causing the extra vacuum or is this a normal occurance?

I don't know it the amount that your getting is normal but yeah you will get more vacum as you get closer to redline

I can't verify the numbers you're getting because I don't have a VAFC but I stands to reason that if you have a restriction such as a dirty air filter the vacuum will increase and hence the larger negative numbers. And I would think as one goes into VTEC mode the vacuum should increase since more engine power would be equated to the amount the engine is sucking air and fuel to what it is putting out in exhaust and power transfer. Suffice it to say, if it breathes better it's gonna suck harder.

Yeah, to me the pressure decreasing even more means that there is something restricting the airflow and the air filter would be the one that could cause all that restriction.
