my next oil change is 800 miles away and im confused about what oil to use...

the day i got the car the guy had taken it to a oil change place that put 20w-50 in it so i put in some valvoline synthetic 20w-50 when it was my turn to change the oil. but now i've been reading about how everyone is using 10w-30 or 5w-30 and im confused

93Si w/ 119k miles on it and i live in florida where its warm/hot most of the year. should i stick w/ 20w-50 or what? oh yea, my gas mileage sucks pretty bad for an I-4

Preludes generally do not need 20w-50. The manual calls for 5w-30 for most parts of the country and general use. You will get a bit better mileage as the engine does not work as hard with a lower viscosity oil (so I'm told).

I'd recommend using 5W-30 if you are using conventional oil. if you are using synthetic you can use 10W-30 also.
