i broke that one to. but i replaced it when i broke it. that piece seemed secure when it wasn't on though, and i think that plate above helps hold it on. just keep an eye on it until you replace it.

 

How do you break those? You don't even have to tighten them that much.

 

that's how you break them, over tightening.

 

Ok thank you so much guys i really appreciate the quick response to. Thanks for the tip im going to try and take care of it this weekend. Can you believe the stealership wanted almost $3 for that bolt?

 

It's a special bolt, most engine bolts you wont find at a hardware store.

Invest in a torque wrench if you're muscling on small bolts like that.

 

yea i have a craftsman and two harbor freight ones im not sure i trust there accuracy though. i borrowed my friends snap on while rebuilding the motor. i had took those two bolts out to remove that bracket to put a skunk2 vtec solenoid cover on and i was letting my friend tighten them back down and then i hear "hey man it just got really easy to turn" some friends just shouldnt mess with cars.
