Dear all,

I'm looking without success for a mod ECU for my H22A with 4WS (non SH) with N.A. mods.

Thanks a million, I' ve looked into the topics but didn't find.

Regards,

You mean you want to tune, but keep your 4WS? Only option would be a piggyback. So basically eManage Ultimate or AEM F/IC, then you also have apexi VAFC-2, NEO, etc. with the eManage and F/IC being closest to a standalone in terms of features. For some light bolt ons, I'm sure a VAFC is fine though.

Ecu

Thanks;

Anyone selling modified ECU's compatible with 4ws for H22A, BB8 chassis?

I'm getting crazy to find the best solution without ruining money and;or my engine.

May the VTEC be with us,

No, there is absolutely nothing than can tune a stock ECU, from any country.

The only possible way to keep your 4ws is to run a piggyback system.

Ok,

Then I will go for the piggy bag option.

I will leave you feedback afterwards, I have to wait to pass the annual control in Luxi, then install the piggy and will go to RACL to dyno test it (only 5 EUR) . The last part will be the rear exhaust, looking for a mugen at a decent price, not easy.

The 4ws module works exactly like the ATTS module, or the A/T Module in the 5g.

It has a couple of lines that go to the stock ECU.

I had an 01 BB8 shipped over from the UK; and ended up scrapping the project and parting the car due to the fact that the 4WS would never work without the stock ECU =/

I still have the 4ws chunks sitting up in michigan; and plan on deving my own control board for it; as the concept behind it is rather simple...

The 4WS primary controller (essentially a servo... or stepper motor..); and it is controlled by a mixture of the power steering pressure sensor, yaw sensor, and vehicle speed sensor.

I had a prototype board built for it; that's merely controlled by a pot, mounted in the car's center console (mainly for show); but deving a functional controller wouldn't be too difficult.. only real catch would be making a scalable table for it... I tried to run numbers, by datalogging how the stock one performed; but was never able to find a good slope for it...

Background: My original plan was; to incorporate 4WS, ATTS, and a built H22a4 w/a JRSC; into 1 car, running a p72+s300; to make the ultimate handling/short range accel car; but real life caught up to me.

I still have a couple of the asm files, and .bin's for PIC18F4550's to manually control 4ws somewhere here..

Ohh. last note: leaving 4WS unhooked is not a good idea... every now and again, it "twitches" while unplugged (think early 90's RC car steering, with the batteries dying)

Thanks!

So there is not a lot of solutions.. after all I' m 210 hp on dyno.. not very powerfull but I catch the gap cornering faster than the fat diesel turbo engines (tdi and so on).

I did not underdtood well, do you have a modified ecu for the 4ws? Working well for a N/A mod (as you already now for dure the 4ws BB8 were 185hp instead of 199 hp for the atts models "motegui" here in europe).
