This may be a dumb question but I can't seem to find the timing marks on the crank pulley for the 2000 lude. Nor is there a pointer. All that I can find is a TDC mark on the flywheel, once you remove the little black plug on the bell housing. Can anyone point me in the right direction to check my timing. Please help, thanks!

There is no timing mark on the crank pulley. You have to remove the crank pulley, and on the crank itself you'll see a dot which lines up with an arrow on the oil pump housing(when they're aligned, you're at TDC)

To get TDC, just use the flywheel marks. You can also check the cam gears to double check that you are indeed at TDC.
