While changing my oil this weekend, I noticed that the tranny housing appears to have medium sized spider-web cracks in it..almost like crackling on a bad paint job. If I had to guess, i would say that it was caused from the mold.. but i'm not sure. Kinda worried that the metal is fatigued. Anyone else notice this? Btw, no leaks..just looks weird.

Are they fine lines? Real jagged? Those are marks from the mold. I saw the same thing, and I was assured it was from the molding process by a few engine builders.

Exactly.. fine but real jagged. So they ARE from the molding process. I feel better now.

Thanks 71dsp!
