Timing belt whine?

1508 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  14sec
How many of you people have a timing belt that whines? I do and i was wondering if any of you see or think that it is slowing you down. The timing belt is tight so it is putting more stress on the parts that are spinning?

2 of my friend's ludes whine now after they cut open the valve cover for cam gears. and they are both on stock gears.
I changed my belt and put on cam gears/opened up the valve cover. but did you guys notice any performance drops with the whine?
