Dude, you can the real racing hart version off of ebaymotors for $799!!! I think that's a good price, if I only had the money to get them!!!

"Jacques" has said that his cast Racing Hart EVO CP-035s weigh 16lbs in 17". He has also said that they do not have "Racing Hart" stamped anywhere on them...

Given this, I would not be surprised if all of the various incarnations of this wheel - Racing Hart Evo, Rota, and Konig - are all identical wheels made side by side in the same factory.

Even if my theory is incorrect, and they are not manufactured by the same company, weight should be the same or at least *very* close to the 16lbs quoted for the "Racing Hart Evo" version...

There is MUCH misinformation floating around about these rims. I'm going to use the 17" version as an example... remember that...

A forged Racing Hart CP-035 (the original version) weighs around 13lbs and will set you back about $1600.

A cast Racing Hart CP-35 (noone knows what it's really called) weighs in the 16-17lb range and will set you back about $700.

You can tell the two apart by looking at the center section. Be careful... some of the ebay sellers are trying to pass the cast version off as the forged. Remember... if they're selling a silver wheel it's cast.

Personally, if I were going to buy this wheel (the Konig), I'd get the cast Racing Hart instead. I guess I'd rather buy the knockoff from the original maker. I'd expect the quality to be similar between the RH, Konig, Rota, etc... just find the cheapest one. I don't like the looks of this wheel... never have. The only I liked it was the lightweight. Anyway... I guess I've said enough.

Andrew, I doubt they're made from the same factory. The center hole pattern on the Koni and Rota are practically the same. The RH Evos are different, and more recessed. Besides, if I decided to have bought my casted versions now (vs. 3 months ago, when the Koni and Rota weren't out yet), I'd still go for the RH Evos. I've heard too many stories of warped rims (from Koni and others) caused by even the smallest of potholes. My old "scuffed" rim, that sits in my basement now, was able to withstand a hit from my friend's car when he hit my car back in January. Anybody want it
?

I may sell my casted rims for the forged version, because I want something even lighter for autocrossing.

Jacques... I've always been a little weary of the CP-035 design. It looks a little frail. On top of that, they took an identical design and made it into a cast wheel. I guess you don't worry about it since you bought them, but are you ever paranoid driving around with these wheels on?

I was coming home (through my neighborhood) and hit a hole I couldn't see that the developers had apparently created that day. My first thought was... damn, I'm glad I've got my stock wheels on still.

Baked, I hate potholes in general (who doesn't), but when I've hit some I can't avoid, the rims held up just fine. Like I said, if you remember a couple of months back when my friend hit my car, I got a replacement rim for the one that got scuffed. Even after a deflecting hit from a 2000 lb. Civic HB, it doesn't appear warped at all, and it really does weigh 16.5 lbs!

If anyone wants the CP035's in casted form, I can get 17's for like 185 a wheel and 18's for like around $210 or so.

It's all your damn fault you got me into autocrossing
! The next event is on April 8, the day after the next St. Louis import meet. As for ICQ, I'll have it on sometime, OK?

you might have to wait for a month, two, maybe more, but all good things are worth the wait IMO
