I feel your pain man. 3 weeks after getting my Lude, I got hit, and the damage was almost exactly the same, just on the passenger side. If you're worried about the repairs, it'll look good as new (as long as the body shop is decent). Good luck with it!

I was in a similiar situation awhile ago with my 1990 prelude si.. Instead of just swerving to the other lane, which I did not really have time to check was empty or not, I let the person hit me.. granted we were only going like 35 mph maybe slower.. HELL if I am just sitting in my lane and you come into it its your fault.. so I took the hit but got a fresh paint job and a small out of court settlement...

What sucks even more is that Chris was trying to SELL his car....damn, talk about instant depreciation....

Don't worry chris, mine got t-boned (passenger side) a year ago, and im STILL driving it. I probably wont find a good buyer if i want to sell mine, though.

Maybe I'll just throw in the entire stereo system as a bonus...and the lifetime warranty paperwork from the body shop...

what does your custom sealed sub box look like or where is it mounted? I'm looking for a box that will fit in the right rear corner of the trunk.

My box fits perfectly between the wheel wells, resting up against the rear seat, subwoofer firing into the trunk.

Actually, I built a ported box for this subwoofer that fit perfectly in the passenger side corner of the trunk. Wrapped around the wheel well and all.
I'll have to see if I still have it laying around somewhere. I don't remember the exact specs on it, but the subwoofer is upward firing, and the port was in the end of the peice facing the rear-side of the back seat.

I dont know exactly what they put in the quote but when my car had over $3000 worth of hail damage they decided to paint my whole car so then I took advantage of it and got them to shave my emblems. I guess the guys who painted it liked the whole idea for some reason and they did it for free. Just a thought, might as well take advantage of the situation the most you can.

Only drivers side panels are being replaced. Hood & Trunk aren't being touched (except to match the paint). I probably wouldn't want the emblems to be shaved anyways.

I got an idea....painted CARBON FIBER body panels!

that really sux man..

at least the rear quarter panel isn't hit too bad..the rest can be changed ..

the only thing that is really bad for a car like that is to get hit in the rear cause all the rear smashes in easily..and it's not relaly fixable unless u cut and paste a new rear ...

this is how i got my car at day 1 ;p

wasn't that bad to fix though..and it made me pay my car in total like 4.5K$ less than what it was worth ;p
