I ran a 15.4 @ 91 in my stock '97 SH my second time drag racing (ever). I think I'll be able to bring it down at least a couple more tenths by perfecting my launch.

Sev ran several 14.7 passes in his bone stock 98 Type SH when he still had that car... The 5th gen Preludes are typically around 14.9-15.2 for Base and Type SH. But the 4th Gen VTEC Preludes are usually quicker - 14.7-15.0 sec cars stock.

i've only done gtech runs in my '00 sh (stock stock stock), but i was consistently hitting high 14s on cool nights with a 1/2 tank of gas and the spare still in the car... and i weigh about 190.

i think the gtech times are quite accurate, especially if you run both directions on the same road (to check for flatness) and take care to 0.00 the unit out.

but guys...have you ever considered quoting the altitude with your times?

b/c it can vary quite differently if you are at sea level versus being at 7000 meters (or whatever) above sea level.

can anyone shed some light into this subject?

I did 15.5 in Ennis... Dallas, Tx... on my second run. That would be 15.2-3ish in Houston. I'm gonna run my car again soon and I should be hitting 15.3 in Ennis WHICH will be around 14.9 in Houston.

My car is 2000 Base Prelude with 5-speed.
