Hey Guys was wondering, can you shift over to manual mode from auto mode while driving (car in motion)?
I wouldn't recommended it. If you want to switch between both modes, I would advise to switch while at a dead stop.

i believe it should be fine. i had the ss tranny on my older lude and i did it all the time. it's not like its an actual gear or anything you are shifting to, it's electronically controlled i believe? so if it is, it is fine.

^That's what I was thinking. You aren't doing anything mechanical by switching to manual mode. You're just changing the shift points manually.

The shift points should be predetermined in the tcu, so manually shifting the SS may not be the best thing to do. You have to keep in mind that the SS tranny is still a regular torque converter driven tranny and not a dual clutch standard.

I've done it on many cars that have a sport shift tranny.
