Ok,

some of you might have read the threads about the odd stuff that's going on with my 5th Gen:

http://www.preludeonline.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=118416

Anyway, I noticed today that my engine is not limited when cold.

If memory serves me right the engine should cut out at 6000 RPMS when cold.

May car is not doing that.

It's revs are also fluctuating up and down and unprodictable times.

Has anyone noticed these problems after their swap... or are you rev limits working properly?

What I'm wondering is if this isn't some odd VSS (Vehcile Speed Sensor) problem that's not throwing a code.

Ok... for ****s and giggles I replace the VSS with the one from the auto tranny in my basement.

They are in fact the same between the manual and the auto 5th Gens.

I then desided to check my plug wires.

Guess what? The Honda tech that did my timing belt didn't snap on my plug wires. So 3 of them were loose!

I'm going to test drive the sucker and see if I get the same symptoms.

Ok... that wasn't the problem.

I also swapped out with the stock wires just to double check.

So now I've done the following:

- Replaced cap and rotor.

- Replaced plug wires.

- Replaced VSS

- Adjusted clutch pedal.

- Changed fuel filter.

- Ran an engine treatment through the car.

I'm confused.

I really don't think it's the swap.

I suspect there is another issue I've been having...

I just don't knwo what.

I did start a more complete thread.
