I recently bought a automatic white 5th gen prelude in January knowing that the tranny would eventually need work, what I didn't know is that it would go out while going to a popular back road near me. While on the way there it started jerking forward while trying to shift. Im assuming I have to either get a new tranny or rebuild this one but i was wondering if there was anything else i could do? I have already changed shift solenoids and it got stuck in what i thought was neutral when testing it, I haven't changed out any fluids and ive heard that putting honda tranny fluid makes it a little better but im unsure if i should spend the money if it wont do anything.
Any help is a large thanks.

I suffer from the same issue first to second gear is almost impossible unless I’m shifting manually which I would suggest doing from now on if you don’t have the money or time shifting between 4 and 5 thousand rpm seems to be her sweet spot
