I'll be there, so let's hope that the noise from my car will either be fixed or miraculously disappear by then...

Pork Chop, did i tell you i finally got my own helmet?

Hmm, noises? I'll bring a hammer and help you fix it
...but seriously, just make sure everything is tight and torqued down properly.

It's good that you finally got a helmet. Those loaner helmets are full of all kinds of germs/bacteria/lice, etc.

I'm getting some noises too now...

clunking or something on the front passenger side... I'm guessing the spring didn't seat well after doing my oil change... argh!

damn, looks like i'll be the lone prelude in STS battling all those imprezas this weekend

yeah, noises suck! i'm determined to get it fixed by sunday

Nah, you won't be alone. I think my friend with a red SH will be running in STR-N with you.

There's also an older guy with a red 2001 SH that usually runs in the street tire class. Plus, someone with a white 98 SH might show up and run in GS (he might codrive with me). Either way, we'll probably see a lot of SH's on sunday.

Dang... I'm missing out on some fun

I've met the two red SH's, didn't see the one in STR-N last time though. He's my target

Since I already blew o0OO0o away
j/k!

o0OO0o, are you going to run in STR-N (Novice 4) or are you going to run in STS?
I was looking at the times of the people in STS, and although the index is lower, the people are a lot faster
You'll have higher placement in your class if you run STR-N. And forget about Street Tire. Pork Chop was right about that class... too tough!

Oh yeah, don't be discouraged by the size of the ST/SM run group size. The next round has it as run group 1, right? I doubt most of the people will show up that early

You'd be surprised how dedicated all these people are. There's always some new people that run, but the regulars who are in the points will show up to just about every event.

I'm curious to see how many people show up at round 6 and 7 on the following weekend. It's a 2 day event up in Sacramento.

yeah i met the "older guy" with the red SH last time... whatever happens (unless in the very unlikely event that it breaks down at where that mysterious noise comes from), i should be there this sunday, and hope i'll get some decent times

my 2.5RS friend is thinking about the Sacramento event too, if he goes, i'll probably go too. oh wait, maybe i won't be able to go on Sat, but we'll see....

Sac is only a 2 hour drive from here. It gets pretty hot up there sometimes, so it's better to show up and run in the morning (luckily, both GS and the STS groups run in the AM next weekend). Traffic can get bad coming back on late sunday afternoon/ evening, so it's another plus to be able to run in the morning.

Let's see, to get there in time to set up the car and walk the course, you'd want to arrive by 7:30-8am, so that means leaving here around 5:30 or so. Well, at least there's no traffic and you even get to see the sun come up!
hey guys,

i'm gonna make an appearance there, hope to see you guys. Can't race, the clutch is still being broken in. Look out for the white lude w/ mugen sides.

are you going? looks like it's gonna rain this weekend, which means more runs for us

Godamnit, where the heck did that forecast come from?! Weather.com has showers on sat and sun. Yahoo says showers on sat only, and CNN says cloudy on both days.
i'm going to call you guys "the fair weather people" -- complaining about *yikes* RAIN.

LOL

Hehe, us California folks get all worked up when it drizzles.

Autocross in the rain really sucks. Especially at 3Com Park. The asphalt turns to a mud slurry and the puddles get pretty big (it always seems like they design the course so that it goes through every puddle). By the end of the day, everyone's car is caked in so much dirt that they look like rally cars!
