I was getting some parts at my local Honda dealership and while they were looking for them in the storage area, I checked out the rest of the dealership. Eventually I stumbled upon the service bay and saw a stock-looking red SH with clear corners and no 'Prelude' lettering. I looked closer through the window and saw a crowd of service techs form up around the car, shaking their heads, laughing a bit.
After a few minutes they finished lowering it, and *PUSHED* it out into the lot. I mean pushed, manually - the car could (or should not) power itself. Every other car was being driven in and out except this 'lude.
Later on I talked to one of the mechanics and he said that all the crank bearings were blown, as in 'block is hunk of 100lbs scrap metal' blown. I asked if he had aftermarket crank pulleys, but the tech said no - the car was showroom stock.
'Tis a sad day
