From the last issue of "Automobile" mag, I believe it should be in the high $20K range.
It should be competing directly w/the Subaru WRX.

have there been any reviews on the exact USDM WRX yet? Like C&D?

i think it was super street that rated the wrx, rated it better then a type r. I would love to see 2 fully built type r's and wrxs go head up against eachother
Guys,

I suspect the Evo will be a DE-TUNED version of what they have in Japan due to emissions and other reasons(insurance, FMIC), similar to the WRX.

Think about it, why would the WRX be sold w/only 220+ HP when they could've left everything untouched and brought the 276HP version over?

aren't these just projected numbers for the EVO 7? EBP Lude is prolly right about the US versions being watered down JDM versions. didn't they have to put like three cats. on the WRX just to keep emissions down?
one thing i don't understand is why is the WRX boosted so high (14+ psi)? couldn't they have achieved the same HP and TQ #'s with say 8 psi?

even they are two different leagues (AWD & FI) vs (FWD & NA) it was pretty impressive to see a Type R keep up with the WRX... or disappointing to see the WRX have equal performance to Type R, depending on how you look at it.

yea those are official numbers for the jdm lancer. You guys are probably correct in saying that america will detune that sucker, but it won't be anything an ecu, header, and exhaust can't handle
