peronally.. the look of the new wrx's are ugly.. performance-wise... wow.. but i wish they didn't go on to a new generation. btw i love my lude and wouldn't trade it in for a scooby.

I like my lude a lot, but haven't had the chance to drive a wrx yet. It all comes down to what you like. they are two different cars, but i think the lude gets more ladies.
dont encourage him.

I'm not too keen on the new WRX, but then again I wasn't keen on the 5g when it was released but it grew on me.
Still, I much prefer the old shape Scooby, especially when it's the P1 model!!!

you should drive both and decide for yourself

The performance is great, but I just don't get all excited for a sedan, even a turbocharged one. If I really want a performance sedan (for under $30,000), I'd rather get a Maxima.

Why not wait until the Acura RS/RSX comes out in the fall? Or, go for the Prelude now
?

That's the best advice I have heard in a long time. Too many of you rely on the (subjective) opinions of others to make your decisions. If it's a personal taste decision, you should make that for yourself, not anyone else.

I like my Prelude, and I like the performance potential of the WRX. However, hearing about all these guys having MILs with less than 1k miles on their WRXs makes me skeptical.

Billy, what's a MIL?

ahcjar103 is right, the best way to decide is test driving both cars. Beisdes, it's fun trying out different cars, even if you aren't really buying

MIL = malfunction indicator lamp (technical Honda name for check engine light).

I personally don't like the look of the WRX - Neonesque headlights, four doors, etc. Plus, I'm not too keen on turbo, unless you're gonna race it. But, if four doors is what you like, and you don't mind turbo, the WRX may be for you.

I love my Prelude and wouldn't take a WRX over it, but if I had to drive a WRX, I'm betting it wouldn't be a disappointment...
yeah i have to agree. I have thought from the very minute i laid eyes on the WRX that i thought it looked like a Neon and that is BAD. If they kept the previous body style (1999) they it would be kickin a$s. and personally, not to bust the prelude in the balls, but i am not too fond of the preludes gen5 look. I much prefer the gen4 bodystyle my $.02

the WRX is like a fat girl with a pesonality the exterior doesn't represent its potential
One is a pretty car and one is a rugged car, hmm comes down to personal preference and test drive both to see how each one compares. As for me, I'll just have power envy and cruise with my pretty pearl
