Poll: Tire Presures

Include tire size and different applications (seasonal, drag, auto-x).

I typically set mine to 34 all round, a little lower in the winter - stock tires currently (205/50-16).

30 psi on stock rims in the summer gets you a smoother ride. Probably shortens the life of the tire, though. In the winter I think they should have MORE pressure due to the fact that cold air is more dense.

When I replace them I'm going with 205/55 or 215/50 if I can find them.

I think it's the other way? More dense means you should put less pressure in, since when the tires warm up, the heating of the "more dense" cold air will result in higher pressures than the heating of less dense air.

You're right... but you knew that didn't you

Hot air expands and creates more pressure...
