well, when i was at HIN in AC the Ludes had some dope a$$ polished valve covers. i'm really feelin' that right now.
i was probably talking to the dude with the 10sec Teggie from Ripp Mods in Staten Island. he's a pretty damn cool guy and knows his $hit. this thursday i'll probably head down to his shop and install my Skunk2 cam gears and polish and chrome out my valve cover. what do you guys think?? sounds good?? well if it happens you can for sure expect some pics of it

Chrome plated valve covers definitely look great. As a matter of fact, I'm picking mine up today. I dropped it off at a Harley shop and they had it triple plated for me. It's a tedious job:
• polish
• nickel coat
• polish
• copper coat
• chrome plating
• final polish

It's going to cost between 185-200

I think there's a company that sells chrome valve covers now for the H22. They might be in the Summit Racing catalog. I think they go for around 200 bucks or so. IMO, you're better off getting one of those and keeping your factory valve cover, that way if you don't like it anymore, you can sell it and have the factory cover to put back on.

I originally ordered the chrome valve cover from Summit but they srewed up my order. I ordered one for my H22a and one for my brothers D16, and they sent us the wrong valve covers for both cars. Just looking at what they sent us, it didn't look like great quality and they are OEM "style". I don't think they were OEM covers. Another thing that detered me was that the box it came in was labeled 92-96 vtech. To me that is a bad sign when a company is offering a product and can't even spell VTEC right when it is embossed on the product itself. They sell them for $239

Because of all of this, I decided to chrome my valve cover, because it was cheaper and I will get a quality product.
hmm, I knew they were available, but I never saw them in person or knew of their quality. sounds like you should stay away from them then.

Definitely stay away from those covers. I'm not saying that Summit Racing was bad because their customer service was great throughout the whole return process, but the covers were made by a company called Matrix. I think their full name was Matrix GXR.

KQ,

I picked them up last night and I have to say I am very impressed. THEY LOOK GREAT!

The best part is that it turned out to be cheaper than we had first agreed upon. Total was 300 for the pair - my H22A and my brothers SOHC D16. It was definitely worth the money and seeing the final product I would have paid much more if I had to.

I'll post pics when I can, I don't have a digi-cam and I have to wait for the weather to clear up.

I didn't know you could get valve covers from Poland.
