I've got an OBX LSD and it's relatively new. I've heard that new lsd's uses more oil than normal and the gearoil should be changed after a short period. Any one know about this? And any one know if I have to use a special kind of oil for the lsd?

I've never tried my self to drain the transmission for oil, does any one know a DIY link for this procedure?

- a helical LSD doesn't "use" any oil
- Honda MTF, Redline MTL, or whatever normal Honda tranny fluid you use is OK (no special additives needed)
- always check OBX LSDs prior to installation for the proper assembly (in many cases they are assembled wrong -- see links below)
- get the factory shop manual to see the procedure.

im just wondering if this obx lsd is a good option, i live in Panama city, Panama. and i dont know a single person that can give me some reference about it. It would be really helpfull if u can tell me if is a good or bad desition to buy one. I was thinking my only way was a quaife.

I have another question about this.
I looked at the links marcucci put on his post, and now im really interested in buying one. And he mentioned to remove the differencial shim and make sure to meture it. But he didnt said anything about putting it back in. So my question is. Why is it necesary to measure it, do i have to put the shim back?
I am going to order the obx lsd and im trying make my homework (research) the best i can.
