Keep in mind that the car they've got it installed on is a 4th gen. Noone's verified that they can program the 5th gen ECU. I think that's what he's asking about.

I wonder what the High comp. piston kit comes with. The connecting rods should cost about a grand, so maybe the piston kit only comes with the pistons and rings.
That price for the cams and springs isn't all that bad considering where it's coming from.

pistons only comes with rings..
they won't be doing the rods casue the say that the factory one can support much..

And yes the question i just resend him email..is about the 5th gen ECU...
they never said that they could reprogram it..

i wouldn't see why they wouldn't be able though, cause they do OBD II ECU programming for civics and tegs..
still gotta ask to be sure..

be aware that this is jap release date..
maybe different here

Since these are Japanese prices, do you think it will get inflated once it gets here? Due to importation and such.

Okay, for those of you too lazy to do conversions the current conversion is 122 yen to the dollar, so the prices are:

1. $1148
2. $984
3. $262
4. $361
5. $210
6. $803
7. $803

Okay, now for my comments.

1. $1148 for PISTONS? ARE YOU JOKING? I don't care who makes them, 4 pistons are not worth $1148 (unless they are using some super exotic material, which I bet they aren't). Sheesh...

2. Not too bad for cams and pistons, but still just a bit on the high side, not by much, though.

3. Not bad, but they just modify the stock cam gears from what I have seen. They aren't billet like UR cam gears.

4. Too much for titanium retainers, in my opinion. For that price you can get a full set of Web Cam springs and Ti retainers!

5. I don't know exactly what he is talking about unless he means the actual valve guide, but why replace them? They work fine, and only cost $20 or $30 for the whole set.

6. Wow, you can almost get a fully programmable ECU for that price, and that's just reprogramming!!!!

7. Not bad, but I wouldn't recommend chromoly flywheels.

I am assuming the prices will stay close to what they are in Japan. They might, they might not. Depends on custom's fees, demand, etc. etc. If they are higher, it might be by only 5 or 10 percent.

They are more prone to cracking (I didn't say they WOULD crack, but they are more prone to it).
