g4 four wheeler here. you wont see a g5 4ws unless you go overseas.
g4+ preludes use electronically controlled rear wheel steering in addition to the mechanical front wheel steering.
the rear has a mechanical steering rack controlled by a separate stand alone computer. it isn't pressurized as the front is. the steering action is relative to the speed of the car and degree of turn you require.
i believe its around 15mph and up the rear wheels will turn in the same direction as the front wheels. and under that speed they will turn in the opposite direction. someone correct me if the speed is wrong...17mph?? the rear also only turns about 25-30 degrees or so.
if a malfunction with the electrical control occurs the rears are supposed to mechanically lock straight and stay locked until repairs are made. i've heard of instances where they did not and the wheels were all over the place dragging and all.
alignments require a special locking tool, bringing the wheels to the factory straight/locked position so the tech can set the angles per the oe specs.
try going to hondaautomotiveparts.com and check out the parts section. they have pictures straight out of the honda manuals depicting part groups and sections. i dont see why they wouldn't have the 4ws in there as well.
i probably missed a lot so someone correct or add to this.
