I've got an MSD Blaster 2 coil ready to be installed along with an MSD 6AL. So I did a search and found some topics on this and came across one that had this link:

So I know that the Blaster 2, being an oil-based coil, needs to go in upright, correct? But in the above link, it shows the coil laying on its side. My question is, and don't laugh if this sounds stupid, but that picture doesn't represent an unpright coil does it? You can see the coil laying on its side just behind the valve cover. I thought upright would mean having the connection to the distributor sitting on top. Correct? Or no?

Here's a link to the particular picture http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fifth-ignition/eng-bay.jpg

I can't remember, there are 2 versions of the coil, one that is supposed to be mounted upright and the other that doesn't matter. Larry (TOO) claims that if you get the "ruggedized" one (can't remember which) that it doesn't matter... he also went so far as to say the others in the line were ****. Honestly, I'm not sure.

The only reason I respond with such vague answers is that I wrote the article for the guy that contributed it to NTPOG. Might email him.
