OK,

I'm 90% sure i'm going to be ordering wheels this week. I have made up my mind that i want 17" RH C5's. Wheelmax seems to be the place I will deal with. I realize that there rubber quality isn't that great on there packages, but i can deal with this. I just want to make sure i will have no problems with these:

(205/40/17) or
(215/45/17)

which one would be best?

I am not lowered. no plans to do so in near future, but if i did, I would do Neuspeed sport and koni yellow.

ANY input would really help, i've read the sticky on sizes and such, but am still a little .

Thanks

Get 215/45/17. they will give you more protection to your wheels. and if you are not going to lower your lude, 215/45/17 will decrease your wheel gap:bigthumb: , but car height will increase. I prefer wheel gap, so i choose 215/45/17. Also if you have ****ty road condition in your area, 215/45/17 is your choice.
BTW, i have 215/45/17 Yoko ES100, IMO good tire for me. and previously had 215/40/17 Toyo FZ4 until it got bubbles from NYC road hazard.

one more thing, Do you know their offset? if they are lower than 42, and if you are planning to lower your lude in future, you will face with rubbing issue. I dont know about exact offset of C5, make sure you get the right offset.

Why dont you get 215/40/17 instead of 205/40/17 and 215/45/17? if you have good condition roads, i would get 215/40/17.

thanks for the info. I'm not sure of the offset, i guess this would be something they can tell me on the phone. how much higher will my car sit? i'm not worried about it to much but the packages they offer only come in either (205/40/17), (215/45/17), (235/45/17). i know the 235 are out, so i guess the 215's are the way to go.
