most people go for Konis, but whats wrong with KYBs? there is a group buy for $350 shipped and Iam thinking about it.
i was just wondering why people go for konis rather than KYBs. are konis that much better?
thanks

I've put KYB's on 5 or 6 Hondas and everyone is happy with them.

Konis are height adjustable (3 settings) unlike KYB. Also Konis' "infinite" adjustability maybe more desired than kyb's pre-defined 4 or 8 ways.

KYB's are red, which I think looks better than yellow
. KYB's for Preludes have only 4 stiffness settings. A little bit limiting, but it's enough for me. KYB only has a 1 year warranty, whereas Koni has lifetime (I think, I at least know it's better than KYB's). But KYB's certainly do the job well, and can be mighty stiff if you want them to be.

Well, one of the best things I like about Koni's is that Koni will rebuild them for you, and also do custom valving. I was looking at a set of Koni's yesterday (the yellow ones) and Id like to get a set sometime soon when I find a good price. I think that wont be a problem, I know of a good distributor nearby.

Ok here's the deal.

Koni:-
Koni Yellow Sports are height adjustable and stiffness adjustable (2 turn = full stiffness).
Front - 2 positions.
Rear - 3 positions.
It's using a c-clip to hold those perch.

KYB:-
ONLY stiffness adjustable.

That's it.

My Koni's have five positions front and back:middle and 1/4"+1/2" up or down.
