Did you know they have an M+S rating on them? Or at least mine do! I couldn't believe it - I recently 4-wheel drifted on them in the rain! Can't imagine what kind of fun I could get in to in the Snow!
what's m+s rating mean?Originally posted by imagepree:
yes, i knew that.
generally M+S means all-season tires, which the RE92's claim they are. i call them no-season tires.Originally posted by joedaddy:

Actually there is a difference between M+S tires and all seasons. Unfortunately there is no rule of thumb on what each of them means to each of the manufacturers despite the fact even they admit that the M+S symbol is confusing. I mean come on, this is coming from an industry that thinks that determining different aspects of the wheel you have to have be fluent in both the metric system and the imperial system (really makes it hard for you AmericansOriginally posted by o0OO0o:

Okay...now i know what M+S rating is..so what does Z-Rated mean?
Not to be mean, but why did you change rims if you didn't know what everything means when it comes to determing the type of tire you wanted? BTW, the Z is the speed rating - stockers are V rated - generally speaking the higher the letter (again industry decided to screw that up by adding the letter H in between U and V), the higher the speed the TIRE can handle - not necessarily the car.Originally posted by checkmate58:

I apologize for all the Americans here in the States.. and i'm sorry you didn't like the South Park movie. hahahaha...Originally posted by 5Gen_Prelude:

hmmm i don't think so. if you look at the RE92's, it seems to have a big ass contact area compared to a lot other tires, like the SP9000 or the Kumho's.Originally posted by preludeh22a99:
I believe the M+S rating is achieved by just having 60% or less ground contact area. It doesn't take into account things like rubber material or tread design. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The SP movie was hilarious! And yeah... if any americans see how much we laugh at the "Rick Mercer talks to Americans" segments you'll see that "Blame Canada" was nothing in comparison.Originally posted by 5Gen_Prelude:
And hey, blame Canada - go ahead! We loved the movie BTW - if you ever knew how much laughing we do over Americans...
Yeah..i've seen that commercial where some canadian guy gets up in a big crowd of Americans and tells them about the myths about Canadians..like we say Boot..not bout.. etc..it's kinda an old commercial.. and yeah..Canadians don't like Americans too much..shoot..they banned Marlboro's there.. hahaha.. and what's up with that 15 percent tax..not cool. Oh well..one thing though.. Canadian girls are just as cute as American girls..hahaha..Rock on!Originally posted by preludeh22a99:

Well perhaps if you didn't label the package Canda it might have gotten there cheaper, not to mention faster...Originally posted by PassatVR6:
