how easy is it to drill into your trunk lid to install a wing? do you need any special tools to do it other than a drill bit?has anyone done this before?

Just a high power drill. I had to drill holes in my trunk for the ww whale tail. Just do a lot of measuring and marking before you start to put holes in.

a good sharp drill bit and a "regular" drill is all you need. Body work is rather thin and easy to drill through.

good luck,

also does anyone know if mugen wings fit in the oem holes?
The real Mugen wing clips onto the trunk lid, no drilling required.

Replicas...some do some don't. I forget which ones do, but if you search for "mugen wing stock holes" you will find some good info.

I think its the wings west whale tale that fits the stock holes, and I think its a good idea to get some touchup paint to paint where you drilled your holes to prevent rust

Get a bottle of touch-up paint ready... after drilling you wish to fill any exposed bare metal with it for rust prevention.
