On saturday, I arranged a last minute prelude meet. Well, to make a long story short, one person showed up (nice to finally meet you stereodoc) and a friend with a brand spankin new TypeR joined us.

Look at this audi group...insane! I don't even know if there are this many preludes in the entire east coast!

true......the last prelude meet in Van was huge.......60+ludes in one parking lot.....
Hehehee, that's pretty big. But did anyone see the NSX Meet pictures? I would estimate about three times as much cars in their group picture.

If you want your meets to be like that, make them. The North Texas Prelude Owner's Group started just like that- 2 of us getting together from the PVN list, then forming a club that's more than 80 members now (though we never get that many at a meet!).

I know that the one meet I showed up for here in orlando, where the guy was trying to setup a florida prelude club...we had at LEAST 22 or so preludes!

the guy didn't really have the cojones to keep a club running...so it fell apart (he was so pissed..."What? You guys don't feel like dropping everything and driving four HOURS down to Sarasota this Friday to go to the drag strip? Well SCREW YOU GUYS I QUIT..."
)

What stands between a Prelude Driver and an ear to ear grin? About 5500 RPMs!

I think you need more time to notify people. 1 week isn't enough for a lot of people. Sunday's are also the better day to pick it seems. You could've came to that autocross......we had 4 HA.net people and about 4-5 other Preludes there as well (hondaprelude.com members).

That Audi meet it kinda near me. They chose a GOOD spot for a meet. That WHOLE lot is open AND there's an Outback steak house RIGHT next door (within walking distance...like a 1 minute walk) as well as a view of NYC across the Hudson River. If NY/NJ/CT/PA is to have a meet that's a good place to have it.

PreludeEd: that might look familiar to you......it's near your workplace.

Yes it is.
I agree, it was very last minute of me to organize this event, and next time, I will certainly promote it more. I am thinking of heading down to the LI H-A.net event on April 8th, who here is attending?

As far as days of the week, why is sunday better? Usually i prefer saturdays and leave sundays for loungin around the house, mourning the start of another work week.

A lot of people have to work Saturday's as well as M-F that's all.

I might've gone to your meet but I didn't finish waxing the car till 1:00AM!!! (That's a whole other story)

I think me and PreludeEd are going to be at the LI meet....ImagePree, KQ and maybe EBP Lude too?

Cool. I will keep that in mind the next time I plan one of these.

Well, I and Stereodoc are thinking of caravaning to this LI meet. How far is this from NYC? I've got the Motorola Talkabouts and V1 fired up and ready to go.
