Would it hurt to turbocharge a 93 Si with the F-Max turbo or any other turbo available for a 4th gen lude ? What are the pros and cons of it, and would it be worth it ? thanks

Any mod to increase power output will hurt your engine to a certain extent. As in in wont run as long as if you had left it alone. Who knows what the difference would be, though? Your car may only run 150k miles instead of 200k or 300k before it needs to be rebuilt.

Pros of turbo: A lot more higher end power. More potential for upgradability than a supercharger. Can be more custom tailored than a supercharger. Aureally pleasing.

Cons: Ass expensive for the turbo itself. Lots of other expensive stuff you need to run it reliably (clutch, ignition, knock sensor, etc.) and safely. High maintenance. Much more stress and wear on your engine.

If you want to play, you have to pay.
