Do 18" rims waste gas, and can i lower my prelude if i have them on. I heard through the grapevine that aluminum rims is the way to go, how much would a package cost?

No, o' holy one. Forget about aluminum wheels. The current style is going retro and going with steel wheels, and unpainted. That is why you see many Porsches and BMW's getting 19" steel wheels and leaving off the wheel cover. I've heard that Volk, BBS, and OZ have returned their entire stock of aluminum alloy and bought warehousefuls of steel blocks to convert to 17"-22" steel wheels. Go with that trend.
