i will say SRD.. coz the exhaust won't make your autoX result better..
I'd go for the SRD...but put it on the passenger side instead. That way, I can be nice and comfy when I ride with you during autoX!

LOL

btw yesterday was a blast, and thanks a lot for the tips! i was a tiny bit faster at my last run, but i knew *exactly* where i did wrong, so i'll try to improve on that next time

what do you think about the teins?

No problem. Next time, you should try and ride with me. A lot of the stuff I told you makes a lot more sense if you see it in action.

The Tein's felt pretty good. It's hard to get a feel for them from the passenger seat, but the car definitely has a lot less lean than the marshmallow stock setup. It felt about the same as my friend's red SH (Tokico's, Ground Control, Eibach ERS-not sure what the spring rates were).

BTW, did you get an alignment after you installed the Tein's?

you know what, i really wanted to ride with you, but i thought you're co-driving with another guy so i didn't ask.

apparently you didn't get those mad times in your first run yesterday like you normally do, so i didn't think you would want the added weight for your other runs either...

so yeah, let's do that in sacramento!
thanks a lot!

and yes, i got an alignment just this past saturday...

My friend with the red SH rode with me for my first run. I usually take passengers only on my first run, but you can make a reservation in advance. But, if we ever get fun runs one of these days, you can ride along for as many runs as you like until you barf.

I'm usually pretty bad on my first run with cold tires and all. I haven't reached that level of the really fast guys that can just hop in and pull off a blistering fast run on their first try.
Yesterday, I took a slight detour on my first run. It was on the far end of the course, so you probably couldn't see me running around in circles out there

The next SFR events are up in Sacramento (3/31, 4/1) and then in Stockton (4/8). Probably too far for you to just show up and be disappointed when I DNF on the one run that you ride along on. The closest reasonable event site is Golden Gate Fields on April 22 (and April 29).

There's a NASA autoX on May 6 down at Marina (close to Monterey). They don't require membership so it's a good opportunity for anyone who's interested in trying out autoX to come out and play. They almost always have time for fun runs at their events.

i heard from your friend with the red SH that his friend with the silver SH is arranging hotel rooms and stuff up there? anyway, your friend with the black SH should be going, most likely for the Saturday event only....
I don't know why people buy racing seats for daily driven or non race cars

TANABE FOR SURE!!!!

SRD, you'll feel it more than the exhaust, and with more support, MORE G's on those turns...

BTW, some of us locals are getting together this coming sunday to install some stuff, might be a good chance to meet up. i know you and pork chop already met pter, so email me if you & pork chop want to meet up.

Resist, and you'll be overcome
Well, actually, my friend with the green Z3 is organizing everything (we're staying up there Sat night, since it's too painful to drive 2 hrs each way on both days). My friend with the red SH can't make it to Sac next weekend, so it will just be my friend with the Z3, my friend with the silver SH (oh wait that's me, this is so confusing) and my friend with the yellow Type R (and his sister too).
Get the SRD then save up for another one for the passenger side so that it matches. 5G seats suck IMO.
