Between the heavey weights, SP9000, S0-2's(since the S0-3's are not out yet) & Pilots, which are the quietest? i have AVS Intermediates and they are pretty loud.

i am considering similar tires, and speaking only about tire noise, the sp9000 are the quietest.

i've never really condsidered toyo's. i've heard the original t1's were pretty awesome for their price range.

how do the t1-s' compare to the $200/tire brands?

i have toyo proxes T1 right now and they're very nice tires but pricey. They're also very quiet compared to my yokohama a520.

Think about Pirelli P-Zeros. The 225-45-16 size (fits on stock 5G rims) is well under $200 and they offer great wet and dry performance.

I think the T1-S gives up a little dry handling for superior wet handling. I remember driving in the rain with these tires was pure pleasure. It made me so confident.

I've got those tires on now. Seems good so far. They're a lot quieter than the FZ4's I had which seemed a little loud. I was deciding between that and the Pilot Sports, but the T1-S has better treadwear rating and a large continuous tread pattern which I like a lot.

(It also keeps the JDM theme I have on my car so far... everything Made in Japan. The Pilots are made in France or something.)
