Hi, I need ur help. I am currently owning a 4th gen prelude S and it's auto. I am looking at buying a v-tec 4th prelude, because I like the style and don't have much $$$, (still a college student). What would be a good price for 94-96 v-tec prelude? what else should I look for when buying the car? Thanks

I'd say anywhere from 10,000-15,000.

ckeck out www.kbb.com. It gives you a good ballpark estimate.

Also, if you find one you like, get the VIN number and call up your Honda dealer and ask if it's been involved in any recalls. The balancer shaft seal on 4th gens and a couple other Hondas have been recalled. I had to find out the hard way.

Last but not least, it's VTEC, not v-tec. Just trying to help you out. A couple of people here are sensitive on that issue. I don't care because I have no VTEC.

Hope I helped you out.

I find kbb's prices a little on the high side. I think edmunds.com has more accurate pricing.
