I did the same thing, and wondered the same thing, but everything worked out just fine.
BTW, if you have a Type SH, you should have the front perch lowered to help level out the car due to differences between the base and type SH suspensions.
Thats an ok deal. You should have done mine and saved $100.
I dont think you would have ruined anything, once they are on everything should be straightened out.
