guys i've been reading former posts about how to reset the ECU. It seems like most of you are resetting the ecu via the under-hood fusebox radio/clock 7.5A fuse.
please correct me if i'm wrong, but when i looked at the manual, i saw there theres a dedicated fuse for just the ECU, in the interior fusebox (under th driver seat). So why cant we just pull that fuse off instead? we wouldnt have to lose our radio/clock settings...
i'm positive there must be a reason why people are not doing this?
i've been wondering that too, because i've been resetting my ECU using the ECU fuse, and i've started to wonder whether or not that was doing the trick. i think i'm just going to pull my negative terminal...as much as i hate to.
Dammit, who gives a sheep's ass how you reset the ECM...battery, fuse, pull the damn thing out and shake it....it all works fine, and does not have any side effects.
