For those of you who have that wheel size AND a +40mm offset :

What tire size do yo have and does it rub?

I trying to determine if 215/40-17 are safe. Cause as all of you probably know, 215 tires maintain the same wheel diameter, so the speed indicator is correct. Also, 215 looks great.

Please don't post 'this has been discussed on earlier post'.

I have 7x17 with +40 offset. Tyres are 215/45, originally they were 215/40 but I got the 45's soooo cheap

My car is slightly lowered too and there is no rubbing at all.

I think it depends on how much you lower it. Don't go too crazy and you should be ok. I have 17x7's with +42 offset and it's lowered about 2.25" i believe and it doesn't rub...
