Dyno question

Lately i've been reading about people getting dynos and using 3rd gear. I have a SS lude.. so how do i do it?

I thought it had to be 4th gear if you have a 5 spd or even a 6 spd.
For an auto, you should use 3rd. On the SS auto, third gear is 0.976:1

i told the dyno operator guy to use 3rd since it was closest to 1:1 ratio.

I've heard you just start off in 1st gear, start to go really slow until you are able to shift up into 3rd. Once you reach 3rd, you floor it.

Hey, I saw your dyno numbers and was impressed. My SS has an Iceman intake, Mugen header, Mugen exhaust, AEM pulleys, and Field VTEC controller. I hope to dyno it sometime this summer. I'll be sure to post the results.

how do you like the AEM pullies? im getting rid of the UR pullies, i love them, but im affraid of the damage that may occur if i keep them on. So i am trying to gett he AEM's what do you think of them?

I like them. I noticed better throttle response after i put them on. But for you, going from UR to AEM, you probably won't notice much of a difference.
