Do I need V-AFC with Turbo Setup?

1014 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  vabeach_lude
I'm setting up a turbo kit for my 5th gen Prelude, and I need a little info here. Is the stock setting vtec crossover point the best setting? Or should I invest in a V-AFC for more fuel adjustment?

Thanks

I think you'd need a AVC-R more than the V-AFC. But a smooth VTEC crossover would be nice with turbo.

A V-AFC does not work at positive boost. No fuel enrichment will work on the vafc at anything above 0 lbs (it does however work at 0 boost and below). Of course you can smoothen vtec crossover point but trust me, by the time your turbo spools up, you will barely notice vtec in the first place.
