Ok, I just bought one (carbon fiber hood), and am wondering how you take care of it? Do you wax these things or just wash them?
there is no clear-coat on these hoods, just a gel coating. i clay bar mine twice a month and apply several coats of wax in between.Originally posted by deceptakon:
I heard your not supposed to wax it for about a month (just like if you got a new paint job) ... I guess so the clear coat cures. I should get mine in the mail monday as well... any other tips??
i got mine directly from fiberimages, i got a hookupOriginally posted by Joon525:

Hmm, is it worth it to put a coat or 2 of clear coat on the hood. I've been comtemplating about it. It doesn't have a sheen to it like clear coat paintOriginally posted by HRC:
