What do you mean by reset? Did you buy a new one and need to program it?
nah its old.. ok im sorry i shouldve described the problem first lol.

umm so if i press lock/unlock on the remote it WILL actually lock/unlock the car.. but on the remote itself the unlock icon never changes and it always beeps as if it failed to send any signal to the car.. "the out of range beep'

so i was wondering if there was a wayy to refresh this remote's memory somehow... i wish i had the manual.. cuz there is a key combination u press that resets the remote..

If you have the four button blue remote with the "P" black button on the back, then this should help you.

Open the remote to get into the guts.
1. Remove battery
2. Remove the tiny (and I mean tiny) single black screw holding the remote together, then CAREFULLY pry the remote open. (it's located on the upper middle of the remote next to the battery holder)
3. once you get to the computer board, there is a tiny white rectangular button right next to the "P" button.
4. Hold that down for 20 sec.
5. Before putting the remote back together, pop in the battery and test.

This worked for me. Hope it works for others with this issue!
Good Luck!
