I've known about the technique for quite some time and just recently decided to start trying it. Any of you do it? Makes for much smoother shifting and it's almost effortless. Save yourself a lot of energy lol.
I didn't on my 250, but I occassionally do on my 600RR. Even though I don't do it much, it's one of the reasons that I got the Honda over an R6 I was looking at. The Honda shifted MUCH smoother without the clutch than the R6 did. The 250 didn't like it at all unless the revs were really high.
When I do it, it's only on upshifts and I always ease off the throttle a bit.
I remember seeing in a manual that the clutch was called the "Starting Clutch".
