Ok,

yesterday I washed, claybar'd, and waxed my silver 4th gen.

I used the mothers system claybar, which I love, and Meguires
Gold class paste wax. Is there anything else I should do for the
paint and to bring out the shine and protect the paint from the sun?

And if I polished, what is the Best polish to use on a silver car?

All you need to do now is to drive the car under the sun to bring out the shine :bigthumb:

BTW, polish usually comes before the wax. You can use either a mildly abrasive polish, meant to remove slight swirls and brighten the paint at the same time (more common)... or a 'pure' polish that only enhances the paint (i.e. Meguiar's Step #2). The order is typically wash -> claybar -> paint prep/polish -> wax -> enjoy!

^^ If you want to polish one area, get a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). It is usually less then $1 for a pint or two at the grocery store. Apply to a soft cloth then wipe the area. This will remove the wax quickly and the alcohol will evaporate almost immediately, so it won't leave any streaks. Then you'll have a clean surface to polish!
