I am using koni/hr with 215/40/17. My offset is +48 and works fine. I don't see why 225/40/17 shouldn't work as long as you have a high offset. Don't quote me on the last part as that is just a guesstimate hehe.
Need to know the offset and width of the wheel. Besides that, the only tire I see avaliable in 225/40/17 is the Nitto 555... Not exactly the best tire out there... I would stick with the 215/40/17's.

It has a 3in sidewall and is 1.2in shorter in diameter than stock.
215/40 is your best choice.
