My engine light's been coming on and my mechanic's diagnostics showed that it's the Camshaft Positioning Sensor that's showing error intermittently. They say that can't get the part. Any leads?

Also, my passenger rear upper control arm bushing needs replacing but I'm told that part is not made any more. Anyone have a source for that?

Thanks for any help.

Camshaft sensor: junkyard part, or a guy on FB, in England I think, refurbishes them like new. Sent in your old one. Alex Leal is his name.
Bushings, look at Energy Suspension. Possibly there.

The CAM Position Sensor needs to be rebuilt. The part itself is no longer available.

  • Alex Leal on the FB 3rd gen groups can rebuild them for you.
  • Upper control arm bushing wise there is two options: 1. Prothane part# PTP 8-213 or 2. Super Pro Upper control arm, which needs to be special ordered from Australia.
Here is my write up on how to go with the Prothane UCA part. - Upper Control Arm Bushings - Prothane Part# PTP 8-205 or...
