will a 17x8 with a 45 offset fit?

title says it
ill prolly use these as winter rims
but they are using 215/40 series tires
i know 7.5 was no problem with a 50mm offset but i aint tooo sure on this one

i'd also like to get 17x8 but it seems i can't get any solid info on whether or not it would work.

and um (sorry to whore ur thread) i'd also like to knoe wut offset i would need to fit brembos or a similar big brake kit under those and not have any problems with rubbing

from what I've heard, you will rub. to what degree, i'm not sure. I had originally bought 17x8 with 40 mm offset and everyone said Dont Do It, I'll rub in even normal driving if I lower the car.

the rub

The tire rack swears that 17x8 fit and they give a bunch of choices in that size and a few 18x8 as well. I have been looking and thinking of ssr 17x8's competitions though they are some BIG coin but it is bigger AND lighter then my stock SH rims by like 5lbs each....

I think someone said to me that if you go with an 8 inch wide rim with 17"+, you'd better be looking for a 48mm offset.
