If you find that the center of the tread is wearing quicker than the outsides, lower your psi a little.
If you find that the outsides (both sides of the tread) are wearing more than the center, you will want to increase the psi.
I had to play with my truck tires a little. My rears were always wearing in the center too quickly at the factory recommended 80psi (2500HD). I found, after some hit-or-miss, that 72psi was actually the perfect pressure for the rears when my truck is not loaded.
Make sure you get an alignment to protect your tire and rim investment as well!
