Help with a 18x8 +38mm offset

I found a set of wheels online that states the wheels will fit my prelude, but what I see stated on this site - states otherwise. I have a 2001 Prelude SH I just bought that is completly stock. Any help would be great. I plan to lower the car maybe a 1-1.5 inches. I know I may or have to roll then fenders which is fine. I just want to make sure this wheel does not stick out much futher than a 1/4 of a inch past the fender. Wheel size 18x8 +38

They would poke out a little, but could probably be made to fit with some fender rolling. Fitment also depends on what size tire you plan to use. As general rule 8" is too wide and a +38 offset is too low to fit a 5th gen without modification. They could be made to work, but I would still recommend just getting wheels that actually fit.

That wheels is going to be way to big for what the effort IMHO, 17*7.5 with a +42-48mm offset on appropriate tires is about a big as you're going to fit without having to struggle with rubbing and clearance.

lowered ~1,5"

215/35/18 with ~45 offset

cannot really put higher profile tires or smaller offset

215/45/17 with 40 offset
I had to cut some rear bumpers inside corners that tires scrape hit there
