I have a 93 h23 auto lude. My coolant is leaking, somewhere from the bottom. It drips from the passenger side of the engine, cant really see where the leak is coming from. I am also having idling issues. I am getting a bouncy idle, and the lude sometimes stalls randomly. Sometimes its hard to start. I have replaced the FITV and cleaned the IACV. My question is, are these 2 problems linked? Is my idle and the stalling caused by the leak in the coolant system?
you might have a radiator leak or a hose leak. You need to take the car to alift and look underneath.
Yes the cooling system can cause a bouncy idle. You might have air trapped inside the cooling system. When this happens cleaning your IACV will not help anything.
First thing u need to do is to go see if you have a radiator leak.
A leak in the cooling system allows air in. Air in the cooling system causes idle issues. Yes it can cause it to stall. Need to get that puppy on a lift and check her belly. Keep us posted!
I will try to get the lude lifted. Last question, after the lude stalls, it doesn't always start. Is not starting also related to the coolant leak, or would this be a separate issue? Thank you for the help
