OK, here's your chance. I am orchestrating a group buy for:
OBD2a Plug and Play VAFC1 Adapter Harness
OBD2a Plug and Play VAFC2 Adapter Harness
By plug and play, I mean these things plug RIGHT into the VAFC. No wiring needed! Installs literally as fast as you can unplug your ECU wiring and plug it back in.
This harness is GUARANTEED to work on all OBD2a vehicles... not just the 96-01 Prelude. That would be:
Please do not ask if I can get OBD1 or other harnesses; if this GB goes well I will offer others, but this GB is ONLY for the two listed above.
Build quality on this harness is EXCELLENT. Best you will find anywhere. ALL pins are wired through, not just the ones that are used (that's why it will work on all OBD2a vehicles).
OK, so what you really want to know:
- $160 SHIPPED (Priority) in the US. Email me for int'l shipping.
- I need 15 buyers to do this. The # of VAFC1 and VAFC2 harnesses doesn't matter (I just need 15 total).
- Payment will be handled via PayPal.
Email me at todd@ntpog.org your email, real name, username, and qty/type (VAFC 1 or 2) if you are interested and I will email everyone when I have enough people. I will be able to ship within 1 week of having enough PayPals to execute the buy.
As an added bonus, I will offer a $10 refund to anyone who ships me their original VAFC connection pigtail in GOOD CONDITION (can be used on future harnesses). I will refund upon reciept and confirmation that it is in good shape.
It is for wiring up a VAFC which you will NOT need to do with this harness (since it is P&P).
Also, to answer a question I got via email... the "pigtail" is the wire that comes with the VAFC that you would normally splice into your ECU harness. You do not need this with the harness in the GB and it can be used to make future harnesses- which is why I am offering cash back for it.
all u have to do is unplug the ecu and plug in this harness and it will work? i dont want to be suckered like with the fields harness everybody said it was easy and just have to do a few simple things, then when i ask for help no one has used it. im interrested in buying this piece.

This is probably (not to step in Todd) based upon the Fields harness, however all the connections that need to be made to hook up a VAFC or VAFC II come pre connected. Which is why the VAFC pigtail is shown in the pictures. With Todd's wiring harness it would be a very simple install of unplugging the connectors from the ECU and then plugging them into the wiring harness and then plugging back in the ECU. The whole install should take less than 20 minutes at most.
Todd: Great to see that you're able to finally get these out. I know you've been thinking about it for a while.
To be clear, it's not a Field's harness. It is was designed from the start to be a VAFC harness. The Field's (and most "VAFC" harnesses) requires you to cut and splice the VAFC wiring to the harness.
This harness DOES make it simple. Unplug the wires at the ECU, plug them into this harness, plug this harness into the ECU. Plug the VAFC into this harness. It's THAT simple. No wiring, splicing, or any of that.
The most difficult part of this will be getting to the ECU to unplug the connectors. Check the link I posted above for that process.
Again, you will have to do NO splicing! It's really plug and play.
The harnesses ARE specific, though, to the type of VAFC... I need to know if you want the original ("1") or the new Ver. 2.
is this a one time thing? or will these be availible in the future? i don't plan on gettin a VAFC till at least the end of march. i just dropped a deposit on an smsp header and can't really spare money to get anything else till i pay off the rest.
this is what i have been looking for no splicing needed perfect! i have the original(1) VAFC u couldnt have put this up at a better time i am getting my vafc custom molded so i need to hook it up. Just let me know when u want payment and the account to send it to by paypal. im in!thanks

This is a really cool product. If I planned on getting a VAFC, I'd definately buy one.
Here's a question- what's the possibility of just getting the two ends of the harness without the VAFC connectors? I need something like an ECU extension cord!

I paid $150 shipped for my field harness and spent several hours cutting, splicing, soldering, etc. and rechecking all my connections 50 times or so. Plus I'm still not 100% sure its all correct.
And you can't go wrong with the seller...its MARCUCCI
We now have 9. I will wait until Friday evening; if we are 12+ I will go ahead and spring for the difference to make qty 15 and the price will be unchanged. If we are <12 then the price will be $10 higher. Either way the GB will be going through.
If anyone backs out b/c of the $10 increase I'll come up with something then!
